We had a most uncomfortable dinette bed ...Hi there,
We had a most uncomfortable dinette bed on Waka Huia because the squabs had been compressed into uncomfortableness over the passage of years. But then we purchased two single sized Duvalay mattresses (about 50mm thick, I think). Yay!! We put them on top of the dinette cushions, and it makes a really wonderfully comfortable bed - not a cheap solution, but definitely worth it. A cheaper solution might be two single foam topper pads (we have one of these for the dinette bed in the motorhome back here in NZ). We went for two singles rather than a small double because of storage - on the boat, we store the rolled up and strapped duvalays (they compress quite well with no ill-effects) in a couple of lockers under the sofa in the saloon. In the motorhome, during the day, the small double one sits on our bed along with the additional bedding. And we only take it with us if we are going to be having a visitor staying - otherwise it sits in the garage at home.
Cheers, MarilynMarilyn, nb Waka Huiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09485346080040799974noreply@blogger.com
