Hayling Island – Wednesday 1st October

So here we are back at home.  It’s been a lovely drying morning to get the washing sorted!  I am now unpacked – not just living out of suitcases as we usually do when we come home during the summer, properly unpacked and bags back in the loft.  Muffin has had a lovely walk on the beach and Richard is busy mowing the lawn.  Back to being landlubbers again!!

341 of this year’s miles were on the Thames which is probably why our miles per day are so high and our days off are a lot less than they should be!

We have made new friends and caught up with some old ones (well ones we have known for a while!) but we haven’t managed to catch up with everyone - maybe next year.

This winter will see Mary H having a bit of a makeover.  The galley is being redone and we are changing the colour scheme inside, hence the reason for choosing a marina near home this year.

A quick update on the ship’s cat, Millie.  She is one very spoilt land based cat now, loves her life as top cat and is loved by Mark :-)

So that’s all from the good ship Mary H and her intrepid crew for this year.  See you next year.
