A day off today. We had planned to take a trip on the open top sightseeing bus but after a 20 minute wait at the bus stop we gave up. A later phone call found out that there is no open top bus this year! Wake up Yorkshire.com and get your website updated!

When we got back to the boat we had chance to watch our own spectacle as a narrow boat came into the dock followed by a hire boat. The wind is quite strong today and pretty freaky and both boats ended up
at 90 º then 180º to the way they had come in. The trip boat skipper ran round to try and help and he eventually got them into the private moorings (no one seems to take any notice of the fact they say private). I have to say that the freaky wind even made it difficult for the trip boat to turn round!

We are picking up visitors tomorrow at Aire Valley Marina :-) My sister, Penny, and her husband Jim, along with their dog Niamh – you may remember them from last year when we cruised in company doing the Avon Ring. They are in the process of selling their boat and as Jim has always wanted to do the Leeds and Liverpool they are joining us for a few days. I’m not sure what Millie is going to say about sharing her boat with a DOG! She is pretty pissed off as it is being stuck inside while we are in Leeds :-(
