Market Harborough (Grand Union – Leicester Line) – Thursday 5th September

We woke up to a beautiful morning in a lovely mooring spot.  Diane had been up really early and taken these two photos.

Without mist!
We had a nice phone call this morning to say that Richard had become a Grandpa again J  His step daughter, Sophie, gave birth to a 9lb 2oz baby boy at 5.30 this morning after an hour and a half’s labour!  We can’t wait to see baby Rex.

Foxton
We set off towards Foxton but lost Ferndale at Debdale as they had to get diesel.  Foxton was really quiet with only a couple of boats moored up - I bet when we get back it will be different – it always is!  The Foxton locks will have to wait until Market Harborough has been coloured in on Ray and Diane’s chart though!

Market Harborough
There was only one other boat moored just before Market Harborough basin so we pulled over and as it was well past lunch time we set off to find a pub!  However we ended up walking into Market Harborough before we managed to find a watering hole but needless to say it was too late to even get a sandwich.  Ray took the dogs back to the boats as he needed to work and the rest of us went to Zizzi for a mid afternoon meal!

After a quick visit to Tesco we walked back to the boats and had a very quiet evening – well a normal evening for us!
