Kingston (River Thames) – Wednesday 13th July

We are back :-)

Our return was delayed by a few days but we are now back. Victoria brought us up to Mary H and we soon had everything stowed and were under way.  We had been moving for about 2 minutes when the heavens opened!  Fortunately, it was only a heavy shower.  I had had a message from Diane on Ferndale earlier to say that they were in Kingston and that is just where we were headed.

Yoyo, Victoria’s cat, didn’t take long in making herself at home on Muffin’s bed!
There was nowhere to moor on the nice side of the river so we breasted up with Ferndale – they weren’t there at the time but we took the liberty.  It wasn’t long before Diane appeared and Muffin was over the moon!  I was very happy too as Ewn ha Cwl (Dot and Gordon) were also at Kingston and are, in fact, heading down the Thames tomorrow too.

Muffin made friends with the Park Ranger
I made tea and we all (minus Ray and Gordon who were at the pub!) sat out on the bank but it started to rain again so we moved further under a horse chestnut tree but had to decamp back onto our boats as the rain started dripping through the thick foliage.  Richard joined the men at the pub but that was it for the evening as it wasn’t a nice one :-(
