A rather disturbed night with a party going on over the other side of
the river – or am I showing my age as the music did stop at midnight!

We had planned to have step daughter, Ollie, and family on board in the
morning and the other, Sophie, with her family in the afternoon but the
forecast was for rain more or less all day so Fay offered to cook a roast
dinner and invite everyone round. We
drove over to East Molesey and had a lovely lunch with all 11 of us sitting
round the table. Of course it wasn’t a
wet afternoon and the children spent most of the time in the garden either on
the trampoline or in the paddling pool, though that didn’t last long as it was
a bit chilly. It was lovely to see the
Dads on child minding duty while the Mums were able to relax (a bit) and chat. Sadly Fay’s husband, Mason, works odd hours
so we haven’t seen him this visit.

We came back to the boat not as exhausted as yesterday, after a lovely
day.

Thank you Fay for a lovely lunch and afternoon.
